Our three editorial roles connect research, clear writing and ongoing maintenance. They share a common aim: give readers enough context to make their own decisions, with the limits of the information made clear.
Editorial lead
Alex Mercer
Alex shapes the comparison criteria and checks that our explanations make sense to someone discovering a genre for the first time. His particular interests are strategy games, MMO worlds and the long-term progression systems that can make two apparently similar games feel very different.
He focuses on questions a new reader might hesitate to ask: what a feature means, why it matters and which details deserve a closer look. Alex keeps terminology consistent and makes sure a recommendation has a clear explanation rather than relying on enthusiastic language alone.
Editorial focus: understandable criteria and useful context.
Platform researcher
Priya Ellis
Priya follows official feature descriptions and system-requirement information, compares how platforms organise their navigation and records changes that could affect a reader’s choice. She is interested in accessible browsing and device compatibility, particularly where a small technical detail can change whether a platform is suitable.
Her research separates a provider’s description from an editorial interpretation. A listed browser requirement, for example, is different from a promise that a game will run smoothly on every device. Priya helps keep those distinctions visible and flags details that readers should check directly before installing or purchasing.
Research focus: features, navigation and compatibility.
Reader editor
Daniel Reed
Daniel reviews correction reports, refines frequently asked questions and coordinates updates across the guide. He is interested in turning detailed feedback into practical guidance, especially when several readers are trying to understand the same confusing term or find the same piece of information.
He looks for the actionable detail in a message: the affected page, the statement in question and the current provider information. Daniel helps turn that evidence into a focused editorial task, while keeping broader suggestions available for future improvements. His role connects the questions readers ask with the explanations our pages need.
Reader focus: corrections, FAQs and useful updates.
